摘要
大众文化是《鲁滨孙漂流记》中国化中隐形而不容忽视的支配力量。从粤语插图译本《辜苏历程》到白话报刊《大陆报》译本《鲁滨孙漂流记》,进而到画报插图通俗读物《无人岛大王》,晚清《鲁滨孙漂流记》的中国化离不开插图和报刊等大众媒介与大众媒体的交替和交叉运用,对译语语体形态通俗化(方言与白话)的积极尝试更是贯穿晚清《鲁滨孙漂流记》中国化的内在线索。大众文化不仅参与并形塑了晚清乃至百余年来《鲁滨孙漂流记》的文本形态,也成为这一个多世纪以来西学汉译中一种日趋强势而持久的操控因素。
Popular culture is the invisible dominant force that cannot be neglected in the sinicization of Robinson Crusoe.From illustrated Cantonese version of Gu su li cheng to vernacular newspapers translation Lu bin sun piao liu ji in The Continent,then to the illustrated newspaper popular book King of Uninhabited Island,the sinicization of Robinson Crusoe in the late Qing Dynasty cannot be separated from the alternating and cross application of illustrations,newspapers and other mass media.The positive attempt of popularization of the target language(dialect and vernacular)was the inherent clue of the sinicization of Robinson Crusoe in late Qing dynasty.Popular culture not only participated in and shaped the text form of Robinson Crusoe since the late Qing for more than a hundred years,but also became an increasingly powerful and lasting controlling factor in the translation of western learning into Chinese in 20 th century.
