The Impact of Unfair Treatment on the Sense of Security

本文基于2019年“新时代特大城市居民生活状况调查”数据,分析不公正待遇对居民社会安全感的影响,同时关注这种影响是否会因居民社会网络规模的不同而存在差异。研究结果发现,不公正待遇会对居民的社会安全感产生显著的负向影响,同未经历过不公正待遇的居民相比,经历过不公正待遇的居民社会安全感更低。在克服内生性问题后,不公正待遇对居民社会安全感的负向影响依然稳健。检验证实,社会网络在不公正待遇影响居民社会安全感的过程中存在调节作用。

Based on data from the Survey of Living Conditions in the New Era 2019,this study analyzed the impact of unfair treatment on indivisual’s sense of security and the heterogeneous effects depending on the social network scale.The results show that unfair treatment has a statistically significant negative impact on the sense of security.Individuals who have experienced unfair treatment have a lower sense of security perception than those who have not.Even after employing the propensity score matching approach to overcome the endogenous problem,the findings are consistent.In addition,the social network plays a moderating role in the relationship between people’s perceived unfair treatment and sense of security.
