This paper introduces the principles to be followed in the reinforcement and renovation of existing building structures,including integrity and rationality,analyzes the common reinforcement techniques for existing building structures,including increasing section reinforcement method,displacement concrete reinforcement method,bonding outer steel reinforcement method,sticking carbon fiber reinforcement method,prestressed structure reinforcement technology,adding fulcrum reinforcement technology,and puts forword that application measures should be formulated according to the different use requirements of buildings to improve the stability of existing buildings and prolong the service life of existing buildings.
