The self-starting trolley of quayside container crane has the disadvantages of light weight and easy to run off.Adopting towing trolley instead of self-starting trolley is an effective method to avoid the above problems.The paper explains the advantages and feasibility of the towed trolley,analyzes the mechanical design of the towed trolley,explains the mobility scheme of the towed trolley,and implements the improvement of the towed trolley at the free start of the bridge machine.After improvement,the trolley runs stably and improves working efficiency.
