In an comprehensive collation of the pronouns found in the unearthed bamboo slips from the tomb of the Chu State in Guodian,an exploration of five pronouns,complex with their usage in the course of development,has been conducted into their grammatical functions and meaning.Apart from their references,those pronouns relate their meaning to interconnection,structure,mood and negation.Their distribution and meaning make it possible for their conversion into other parts of speech.Part of those pronouns have been or will be subdivided into such parts of speech or morphemes as conjunctions,auxiliaries,adverbs,and modal particles.
