New finds Stun Archaeologists A treasure trove of exquisite bronze, gold, and jade wares has been recently excavated at the Sanxingdui Ruins site in southwest China’s Sichuan Province.e new finds have brought the total number of items discovered in the six pits at Sanxingdui to nearly 13,000,according to the Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relics and Archaeology Research Institute.
