国际化背景下应用型本科酒店管理专业课程教学改革探索——以“酒店英语”课程为例

Teaching Reform of Applied Undergraduate Hotel Management Courses in the Context of Internationalization: A Case Study of Hotel English

近年来,随着我国经济社会的快速发展和综合国力的不断提升,入境旅游市场发展态势持续向好,大量国际酒店品牌纷纷入驻中国,我国酒店业的国际化程度越来越高,对酒店管理专业人才在跨文化交流和外语语言表达能力等方面提出了更高要求。由此,在酒店业国际化背景下,各应用型本科酒店管理专业更加注重英语课程的教学,增加英语类课程的比重,注重学生实用能力的培养和语言技能的提升。本文以“酒店英语”英语课程为例,分析当前在酒店英语教学方面存在的一些主要问题,并提出国际化背景下该课程教学模式改革的建议,以期为提高“酒店英语”课堂教学效果提供参考。

With the development of globalization and integration of the world economy, the hotel market is booming. The demand for hotel management professionals is rising. In recent years, with the rapid economic development and the improvement of the comprehensive national strength, the inbound tourism continues improving.A lot of hotel of international brands are coming into China, which requires more hotel management talents with cross-cultural communication abilities and foreign language abilities. In the context of the internationalization of the hotel industry, more attention is paid to the English courses for hotel management majors. Proportion of English courses is increased, and cultivation of students’ practical ability and the improvement of language skills are valued.Taking“Hotel English”as an example, this paper analyzes some major problems in Hotel English teaching and puts forward some suggestions on the reform of the teaching under the international background, in order to provide reference for improving the classroom teaching effect of Hotel English.
