CDIO education is a new education mode, which originated from the higher education of engineering technology. However, it is an open concept and methodology education system. Undoubtedly, the reason that CDIO methodology system can be developed and intensified is its application in many different subjects. Starting from the concept of traditional CDIO methodology education, this paper made an in-depth discussion on the construction of table tennis teaching mode in colleges and universities by using the concept of CDIO methodology education, and probed into table tennis teaching method in colleges and universities. The teaching content system of methodology and CDIO, as well as the research and design of specific teaching implementation and procedures, and other teaching contents, have certain guidance and reference value for gradually promoting the teaching mode of table tennis in colleges and universities and improving the teaching quality.
