The interpretation of an official American Thoracic Society research statement: research priorities in pathophysiology for sleep-disordered breathing in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

重叠综合征(overlap syndrome,OVS)是慢性阻塞性肺疾病(chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,COPD)与睡眠呼吸障碍的共存患病,与预后不良及死亡率升高相关。2017年,美国胸科协会官方对OVS的病理生理学研究的主要问题提出声明,旨在阐明OVS在病理生理学、流行病学、预后、诊断标准以及治疗等方面的相关进展,同时确定目前亟需解决的重要问题,并提出建议和指导。该文对此声明进行解读,为国内OVS的临床诊疗提供参考。

Overlap syndrome (OVS) is a coexisting disease of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and sleep-disordered breathing,which is related to poor prognosis and increased mortality.In 2017,the American Thoracic Society issued an official statement on the main issues in the pathophysiology of OVS.The purpose of this statement is to clarify the progress of the pathophysiology,epidemiology,prognosis,diagnostic criteria,and treatment of OVS,and to identify important issues that need to be addressed,and to provide recommendations and guidance.This paper will interpret this statement and provide reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of OVS in China.
