The European New Car Assessment Programme(Euro NCAP)has carried out a child occupant safety assessment since very early,with more comprehensive and stringent vehicle safety standards.This paper interprets the latest version of Euro NCAP child occupant protection assessment,which is mainly divided into 3 parts,including dynamic performance,vehicle based assessment and installation of child restraints,and the design methods are analyzed according to the relevant assessment requirements.As a highly influential new car assessment organization,it makes a lot of sense to research the assessment and design criteria for improving the vehicle safety design of Child Occupant Protection(COP)and the child occupant safety.
