摘要
中国文学的现代化进程始自1917年开启的新文化运动,但现代文学作品的连环画改编则从20世纪30年代起步。由于革命救亡宣传的需要,现代文学作品的连环画改编在文艺大众化运动、新兴木刻运动以及海外连环漫画的影响下开始了初创阶段的探索。这一时期,鲁迅、茅盾、老舍、巴金、赵树理等名家名作因与时代精神气候的契合,引起了美术家们的“转译”热情。尝试探索阶段,现代文学作品连环画改编在艺术上不太成熟,一是形态上表现出与插图的一体性和混合性,二是手段上主要运用木刻和漫画两种表现形式。
The modernization of Chinese literature began with the New Culture Movement in 1917,but the adaptation of modern literature into comic books began in the 1930s.Due to the need for revolutionary propaganda,the adaption of modern literature into comic books started to be explored in its infancy under the influence of the Movement of Literary Popularization,the emerging Woodcut Movement and the overseas comic books.During this period,famous works by Lu Xun,Mao Dun,Lao She,Ba jin,Zhao Shuli and other famous writers aroused the enthusiasm of artists for“translation”as their suitability to the spirit of the times.In the exploratory stage,the adaptation of modern literary works into comic books was not very mature artistically;for one thing,it showed the integration and mixture of illustration,and for another,it mainly used two forms of expression-woodcut and cartoon.
