The Historical Contribution of the East Guizhou Independent Division of the 2nd and 6th Chinese Red Army

中国工农红军第二第六军团黔东独立师是中国共产党领导下的旨在保卫黔东苏区革命政权、策应红二、红六军团主力战略转移的一支革命武装力量。经过一个月的艰苦作战,由于敌强我弱,这支英勇顽强的部队最终未能完成保卫黔东苏区的革命任务,但是有效地牵制了敌人,支援了红军主力的战略转移,成功策应了新的湘鄂川黔革命根据地开辟,也为后世留下了珍贵的革命文物,丰富了红色文化内涵,对黔东革命历史文化作出了重要贡献。

The East Guizhou Independent Division of the 2nd and 6th Chinese Workers’and Peasants’Red Army is a local armed force under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,which aims to protect the revolutionary regime in Communist-controlled China and coordinate the strategic transfer of the main force of the 2nd and 6th Chinese Red Army.After a month of hard fighting,the brave and tenacious army finally failed because of powerful enemy and our weakness.Although the East Guizhou Independent Division failed to accomplish the revolutionary task of defending the East Guizhou Soviet area,they effectively contained the enemy,supported the strategic transfer of the main force of the Red Army,and successfully assisted the opening of a new revolutionary base in Hunan,Hubei,Sichuan and Guizhou.It has also left precious revolutionary cultural relics for future generations,enriched the connotation of red culture,and made outstanding historical contributions.
