Digital technology has become a source to provide technical solutions for social and economic development.Digital technology,which is extensively applied in the field of sports industry,has become an important driving force for the high-quality growth of sports industry.Using literature consultation,logical analysis,and expert interviews,we explained the connotation,the role mechanism,and the application dimensions of digital technology which enables high-quality development of sports industry.In view of the technological,policy-making and cognitional problems which suppress the application of digital technology in the field of sports industry,we offer the following solutions.To strengthen the construction of digital technology infrastructure in the field of sports industry;To formulate collaborative governance policies for the application of digital technology in sports industry;To actively cultivate and establish the data trading market of sports industry;To build a risk system for the application of digital technology in the field of sports industry;To speed up the training of digital technology talents in the field of sports industry.
