“吴均不均、何逊不逊”是天监八年、九年间梁武帝在一次偶然的赋诗活动中对吴均、何逊的必然评价,背后是政治地位、性格诸方面的冲突。当时最直接的影响是二人仕途坎壈,促成了二人对真实心灵世界的纵深书写;间接影响则是萧统《文选》选录标准呈现二重性,未收录二人作品,进而一定程度上又影响了二人文学之传播。文学、文人的地位虽受政治权力的制约,但最终是由当时与未来两个时空共同构建的。吴均、何逊的文学作品,梁代文坛即有较高定评,后来通过个人文集与《文选》之外其他选本两条路径的传播,逐步消解了武帝八字恶评的负面效应,实现了文学对政治的超越。
