Xinhua Daily and the New Fourth Army:From the Perspective of Relevant Reports in Xinhua Daily

在抗日战争期间,中共中央南方局领导下的《新华日报》充分发挥了作为中共在抗战大后方“喉舌”的功能,及时将新四军作战信息传至社会各界,针对国民党反动派制造的限制、打击新四军事件的行动进行了无情地揭露和批判。在新四军的艰苦奋战和《新华日报》大力宣传的共同作用下,中共倡导的抗日民族统一战线大局得以维护,巩固了抗日根据地,也为抗日战争最终胜利做出了伟大的历史性贡献。

Xinhua Dailyand the New Fourth Army played important roles during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Invasion,and there is a close connection between the two.Under the leadership of the Southern Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC),Xinhua Daily gave full play to its function as the“mouthpiece”of the CPCin the rear of the War of Resistance against Japanese Invasion.It transmitted combatinformation about the New Fourth Army to all sectors of society in a timely manner,andcarried out ruthless exposure and criticism on the reactionaries.Thanks to the cooperation and efforts of Xinhua Daily and the New Fourth Army,the overall situation of national united front against Japanese aggression,advocated by the CPC,was maintained,which consolidated the anti-Japanese base areas and made great historical contributions to the final victory of the Anti-Japanese War.
