Preservation and countermeasure of genetic resources of Balikun horses

巴里坤马是新疆三大名马之一,也是哈密市特有的优良地方品种。文章对巴里坤马的品种来源、分布、产区现状、数量变化、生产性能、常见疾病、饲养管理等进行了探讨,分析了限制发展的制约因素,提出了巴里坤马保护和产业发展的对策建议,旨在为巴里坤马种质资源的保护和利用提供参考。

Balikun horse breed, native to Hami city, is one of the three well-known horse breeds in Xinjiang Province. The origin, distribution, production area status, quantity change, production performance, common diseases and feeding and management, etc. of Balikun horses were summarized in this paper. Based on the restrictive factors for sustainable development of Balikun horse, the corresponding countermeasures for preservation and industrialization of Balikun horse breed were suggested in order to provide references for the protection and utilization of Balikun horse genetic resources.
