摘要
从《论语》中“礼”的英译及历代汉学家们对“礼”的诠释来看,孔子之“礼”在英语世界传播与接受过程十分曲折,主要是因为受到西方宗教思想、个人主义思想与本质主义思想影响。但随着海外学界反西方中心主义思潮兴起,礼学不仅被用以对西方哲学、伦理学、政治学等进行反思,还有望成为开辟实用主义符号学新领域、解决社会问题的力量。
In respect of the translations in The Analects and sinologists'interpretations,the process of transmission and acceptance of Confucius'“Li”in English world tends to be very tortuous,as it has been mainly affected by Western thoughts of religion,individualism and essentialism.However,with the rise of ideological trend of anti-Western centrism in the overseas academic circles,“Li”is not only used to reflect on Western philosophy,ethics,and politics,etc.,but also expected to be a power of opening up the new field of pragmatic semiotics and of solving social problems.
