Challenges and Countermeasures of International Student Education in Private Universities

民办高校是推动我国高等教育国际化的力量之一。政府政策支持、文化吸引和相对稳定的投资环境是驱动留学生来华学习或进修的重要因素。民办高校开展留学生教育具备办学体制机制优势、留学生心理认同的优势和师资优势,但也面临政策支持不足、管理经验匮乏、招生渠道有限等挑战,可通过凝练内涵、拓宽招生通道、招才引智等方法予以逐个突破。

Private university is one of the forces promoting the internationalization of higher education in China.The important factors that drive the international students to study in China include government policy support,cultural attraction and relatively stable investment environment.When private universities carry out international student education,they have the advantages of school-running system and mechanism,international students’psychological identification,and faculty.However,they also face the challenges such as insufficient policy support,lack of management experience,and limited enrollment channels etc.They can make breakthroughs one by one by means of concise connotation,innovative enrollment channels,and talent introduction.
