The extraordinary development history of the Communist Party of China(CPC)in the past century is also a history of exploring the evolution of modernization ideology.The centurylong evolution of the modernization ideology of the CPC has gone through four stages:in the period of the new democratic revolution,the authoritarian system was overthrown by means of revolution and modernization was explored in the course of construction while revolution;in the period of the socialist revolution and construction,the foundation of the socialist system was laid by means of transformation and the four modernizations were explored in a comprehensive adjustment;in the period of reform and opening up and socialist modernization,the"three-step"grand strategy of modernization was explored and promoted by constructing a socialist market economic system environment;in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,on the basis of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way,the"two-step"strategy was planned to start a new journey of building a strong socialist modern country.The century-long exploration of the modernization ideology of the CPC has created brilliant achievements,inherited and developed the modernization ideology of classic Marxist writers,formed a scientific and complete theoretical system of socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics,and guided and promoted the great practice of Chinese modernization.The historical experience accumulated in the century-long evolution of the modernization ideology of the CPC is of great theoretical and practical significance for China to comprehensively and efficiently build a socialist modernization power and realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
