摘要
周群玉的《白话文学史大纲》以白话文学史的书写作为创造新文学的基础与建设新文学的门径,呼应了当时语体和学术的现代转型趋势。相比前辈学者,他具有更加明确的纯文学史观;在文学批评方法上,他吸收了泰纳的"种族、环境和时代"三因素学说以及法国温彻斯特的文学批评理论,着眼于揭示文学与环境的关系,注重时代精神对于文学的影响。他于书中专设"中华民国文学"一章,有意识地将民国文学作为新文学的起点,实开民国文学之端。
Zhou Qunyu’s Outline of the Vernacular Literature History took the writing of the vernacular literature history as the basis for creating new literature and the way to build new literature, which echoed the modern transformation trend of style and academia at that time. Compared with his predecessors, he had a clearer view of pure literary history;In terms of literary criticism methods, he absorbed Taine’s theory on the influential factors“race, environment and times”and Winchester’s literary criticism theory, focused on revealing the relationship between literature and environment, and paid attention to the influence of the spirit of the times on literature. The chapter“literature of the Republic of China”in his book consciously took the literature of the Republic of China as the starting point of new literature.
