Integrating ideological and political elements into professional courses is the basic requirement to realize“whole process and all-round education”under the educational background of the new era.This article taking the course of Principles of Food Technology as an example,combined with the characteristics of curriculum knowledge and teaching objectives,the necessity of curriculum ideological and political education was expounded,the entry point of the integration of ideological and political elements and the practical key points of ideological and political education were deeply excavated and analyzed,so as to make the curriculum ideological and political and ideological and political courses go hand in hand,and lay a certain foundation for the establishment of the ideological and political education system of food majors.
