“石油工程专业英语”开课情况调研与分析

Investigation and Analysis of the Offering Situation of English for Petroleum Engineering Course

经济全球化背景下,国家间的交流合作日益密切,对人才的国际交流与沟通能力提出了更高要求,为此石油院校纷纷开设“石油工程专业英语”课程。但受课程内容广泛性和课程教学多样性等特点的影响,课程教学存在难点,同时基于国际化石油人才培养模式和教学内容需紧跟国际发展,不断创新优化的要求,需对课程教学各方面进行完善。因此,通过对各高校“石油工程专业英语”课程开设情况、教材选用、考核方式等进行对比分析,得出“石油工程专业英语”课程培养目标与定位、授课方式与教材内容、课程时间与教学内容等方面的优化建议,以期为同类院校石油工程专业发展与人才培养提供参考借鉴。

In the context of economic globalization,the exchanges and cooperation between countries are becoming increasingly close,which puts forward higher requirements for the international exchange and communication skills of talents.To this end,a lot of petroleum colleges and universities begin to offer the course of Professional English of Petroleum Engineering.However,due to the extensiveness of the course content and the diversity of the course teaching,there are some difficulties in the teaching.At the same time,based on the international petroleum talent training mode and the requirement that the teaching content should keep up with the international development,and need to be constantly optimized,all aspects of the course teaching should be improved.This paper analyzes and compares the offering situation,the teaching materials selection,and the examination methods of the course of Professional English of Petroleum Engineering in various universities.Through in-depth analysis and research,it puts forward some suggestions on how to optimize the training objectives and the positioning of this course,how to optimize the teaching methods and the teaching materials,how to improve in the arrangements of course time and teaching content,etc,in order to provide a reference for the development and talent training of petroleum engineering majors in similar universities.
