This paper introduces the drafting process of GB/T 40738-2021"Investment Casting-Technical Specification for Rapid Shell Build with Colloidal Silica Binder",interprets the terms and definitions involved in the specification,and explains the technical requirements of the raw and auxiliary materialsas well as the inspection methods used for rapid shell making in detail,so as to promote the application of rapid shell making process of investment casting silica sol.
