With the development of smart grid,communication equipment and optical cables carry a large number of line protection services.Because relay protection is of great significance for the safe operation of power grid,there are too many protection services carrying in communication channels and optical cables,which poses risks to the safe operation of the power grid.Therefore,it is necessary to put forward treatment schemes for overload communication equipment and optical cables,which is the inevitable choice for the safe and reliable development of power grid.Based on this situation,according to the current situation of communication equipment and optical cable carrying line protection business,analyzing the causes of overload communication equipment and optical cable,this paper puts forward the ideas and solutions of overload treatment.
