区域与国别视阈下的大洋洲研究

Oceania Studies:a Perspective of International and Area Studies

近年来,区域与国别研究渐受重视,这为各区域与国别的“同等”研究创造了契机。纳入区域与国别视阈下的大洋洲研究已经取得了多方面的进展,如诸多研究机构的创建、学术交流机制的形成、研究议题的不断拓展、学术成果的与日俱增以及智库建设的稳步推进等。大洋洲研究如要形成自己的特色并在学术界占有一席之地,跨学科研究、文本解读与田野考察相结合、宏观、中观与微观研究相结合、陆地史观、海洋史观和全球史观相结合等就应受到重视,并且需要借鉴其他区域与国别研究的路径。与其他区域与国别研究一样,大洋洲研究也面临诸如基础研究薄弱、母语研究阙如、国别研究不均衡、通识性研究人才缺乏等问题与挑战。

In recent years,international and area studies has increasingly gained attention,which has created a good opportunity for the studies of all areas“on equal basis”.The Oceania studies,as a part of international and area studies,has achieved manifold development,such as the establishment of many research institutes,the formation of academic exchange mechanisms,in addition to more and more research topics,academic achievements and steady progress of think-tanks.For the Oceania studies to form its own features and to make its own mark within the academic circle,it is imperative to attach great importance to interdisciplinary methodology,a combination of text interpretation and field work,a combination of macro-,meso-and micro-level researches,a combination of historical concept of land,ocean,and the globe as a whole.Meanwhile,it has to learn from other area studies in its methodology.Just like other area studies,Oceania studies also faces problems and challenges such as weaknesses in fundamental researches,lack of the ability in native languages,imbalance of national studies and shortage in generalists.
