Common faults and causes of marine diesel engine were analyzed,and the corresponding troubleshooting strategies were proposed.Results show that during the operation of marine diesel engine,the common faults mainly include selfextinguishing,unstable speed,poor starting,smoke and improper installation of fuel injection pumps.The reliability control mechanism should be implemented for specific faults,and corresponding measures should be taken to improve the repair scheme and improve the application efficiency of marine diesel engines.
