Dexamethasone is a glucocorticoid drug.It is a drug with anti-inflammatory,anti-allergic and anti-shock effects.It is often used clinically for the treatment of inflammatory cases caused by various reasons or the emergency treatment of severe diseases.The therapeutic dose of dexamethasone has a strong anti-inflammatory effect.Many grassroots veterinarians have misunderstandings about the drug.They pay more attention to the anti-inflammatory effect of dexamethasone and ignore the side effects of the drug,leading to the abuse of the drug.A correct understanding of the anti-inflammatory mechanism of dexamethasone and familiarity with its clinical application and compatibility are important prerequisites for the efficacy of the drug.This article summarizes the application,compatibility,contraindications and common side effects of dexamethasone,and provides a reference for the clinical use of primary veterinarians.
