陕西合阳民间的追往会不同于一般的庙会,它首先着眼于人,是当地民众人际关系的重温和加深;它选择在农历六七月农活相对较少时举行,让常年劳作的农村人得以休息和放松。追往会具有维护亲缘、地缘关系,符合农民心理需求,影响地域广泛等特点,是集乡民信息交流、文化娱乐、物资交流于一体的大型农村集会。

The folk fair in Heyang, Shaanxi Province, is different from ordinary temple fairs in that it focuses on people first and foremost, and is a renewal and deepening of interpersonal relationships among local people;it is held in June and July of the lunar calendar when there is relatively little agricultural work, so that rural people who have been working all year can rest and relax. It is a large rural gathering that integrates information exchange, cultural entertainment and material exchange among villagers.
