Study on Wen Yiduo’s Concept of National Reunification

闻一多以诗人、学者和斗士著称于世,而他强烈的海权意识和祖国统一理念则鲜为人知。首先,他把澳门、香港、威海卫、广州湾、九龙岛、旅顺和大连等沿海城区和四面环海的宝岛台湾,昵称为“七子”,即中国大海之子,“看守着中华最古的海”“防海的健将”。他深刻揭露西方列强掳去“肉体”,啖着“骨肉”,咽着“脂膏”,百般侵犯中国海权。其次,闻一多主张“为了民族的永生”“背城一战”,“想尽方法向帝国主义索回”丧失的海权。再次,面对半殖民地半封建中国的海权被侵犯的危局,闻一多没有消沉,更没有像一些人那样赌咒有国还不如无国,而是胸怀一颗炽热的爱国之心,唤醒“熟睡的神狮”。赤诚的爱国主义思想,成为闻一多捍卫国家海权、渴望祖国统一的力量源泉。

Wen Yiduo is known as a poet,scholar and fighter,but people know little about his strong sense of sea power.First of all,he named coastal cities and areas of Macao,Hong Kong,Weihai,Guangzhou Bay,Kowloon,Lvshun,Dalian and Taiwan as "seven sons",namely,the sons of China sea,the "strongest soldiers" "guarding the most ancient sea of China".He deeply revealed the fact that the Western powers infringed on China’s maritime rights in all possible ways.Secondly,Wen Yiduo advocated "fighting for the nation",and "trying every means to retrieve" the lost maritime power from the imperialists.Thirdly,in the face of the crisis that semi-colonial and semi-feudal China’s sea power was violated,Wen Yiduo did neither get depressed,nor swore that it would be better to have no country.Instead,he tried to wake up the "sleeping lion" with a blazing patriotic heart.Sincere patriotism became his source of strength to defend the country’s sea power.
