中国对外直接投资与“一带一路”数字经济创新

Foreign Direct Investment of China and Digital Economy Innovation of “the Belt and Road” Countrie

在中国企业赴“一带一路”国家投资的背景下,考察了2000—2019年中国企业对外直接投资对“一带一路”国家数字经济创新发展的影响及其作用机制。研究发现,中国企业对外直接投资会对“一带一路”国家的数字经济创新水平产生正向影响,其中被投资国交易成本降低、私人投资增多、治理水平提升是其可能的影响机制。异质性分析表明,当“一带一路”国家的外债水平较高、GDP增速较低以及签署了双边贸易协定时,中国企业对该国的投资会促进当地数字经济快速发展。

Under the background of Chinese enterprises’ investment in “the Belt and Road” countries, this paper empirically investigated the impact and its mechanism of foreign direct investment(FDI) on digital economy innovation from 2000 to 2019. It was found that the FDI of Chinese enterprises had a positive impact on the innovation level of digital economy in “the Belt and Road” countries. And its influencing mechanisms may cover the transaction cost reduction of investee countries, the increase of private investment and the improvement of governance level. Heterogeneity analysis showed that, Chinese enterprises’ investment would promote the rapid development of local digital economy in the countries with higher level of foreign debt or lower GDP growth rate,and those having signed bilateral trade agreements.
