桐华小说除了以情动人,还以其精巧的叙事见长.通过研究桐华的一系列小说,我们发现桐华的叙事技巧体现在诸多方面.首先是其对故事整体结构的设计,或者前后循环,形成螺旋式上升结构,或者以主人公的人生经历划分为若干阶段;其次是对情节的前后衔接,桐华擅用伏笔和照应,使情节前后关联,一环紧扣一环;再次是对场面的铺排,桐华的叙事能力还体现在对战争、宴会等大场面的恰当铺写;最后是对意象的使用,桐华擅长以某一意象贯穿全书,成为整个故事的精神内核.

TONG Hua is not only good at moving readers with rich emotions,but also good at narrating stories.By studying a series of TONG Hua’s novels,we find that the narrative skills used by TONG Hua are reflected in many aspects.The first aspect is the designing of the overall structure of the story.For example,TONG Hua designs an auger-type rising structure by making the latter part repeat the story of the previous part.And she divides the heroine’s life experience into several stages.The second is the linking of the previous plot and the latter.TONG Hua is good at foreshadowing and providing vague advance indications,so that the previous plot and the latter are related and closely linked.The third is the description about the scenes.TONG Hua’s narrative ability is also reflected in the appropriate description of the big scenes such as wars and banquets.The last is the using of images.TONG Hua is good at using an image to push up the development of plots,which has become the spiritual core of the whole story.
