The Triple Implication of Xi Jinping’s Important Statements on Common Prosperity

共同富裕既是社会主义的根本要求,也是中国式现代化的显著特征。党的十八大以来,习近平在不同场合就共同富裕提出了许多富有创见性、时代性的新思想、新论断,凸显出鲜明的继承发展性、弘扬人民性和引领方向性的本质特征,回答了“什么是共同富裕、为什么要共同富裕、怎样扎实推动共同富裕”等一系列重大理论问题与实践任务,丰富了马克思主义中国化小康社会理论思想,锚定了第二个百年奋斗目标价值取向,贡献了全球贫困治理中国智慧。

Common prosperity is not only a fundamental requirement of socialism,but also an outstanding feature of China-type modernization.Since the 18th plenary session of the CPC National Congress,Xi Jinping has put forward many new and innovative thoughts and statements about this is⁃sue.These thoughts and statements are characterized by their inheritance and development of the ideas of the party on the same issue,by their people-centered concerns and by their directional functions.They give answers to questions like“what is common prosperity?”“why should we achieve common prosperity”and“what should we do to achieve common prosperity?”and other important issues of practical concern.They have helped enrich the Marxist theory of building well-off society in China,provided a set of values and guidelines for the realization of the second centenary goal of the party,and contributed Chinese wisdom to the global poverty alleviation.
