山东省邹县县名沿革及其用字辨识考

On Evolution of Zouxian County in Shandong Province and Errors in Terms of County Names as Well as Their Identification

山东省邹县的建置沿革在各类志书中多有记述,却存在县名是“邹”还是“驺”的争议,容易造成地名理解上的偏差,许多问题有待辨明。结合历史文献、音韵学与考古资料,运用文献比较法,爬梳邹县县名沿革脉络,得出其地为秦统一后置县,初名“驺”,到西晋时改称“邹”,并一直沿用至今,古籍中误将“驺”作“邹”是因未分清古今字差别的结论。对邹县县名沿革、县名用字进行考辨,可以加深对该地历史文化的认识,引发对地名沿革研究的思考。

The construction and evolution of Zou County in Shandong Province are described in many kinds of chronicles,but there are contradictions in the understanding of whether the name of the county is"Zou(邹)"or"Zou(驺)".It is easy to form deviations in the understanding of geographical names,and many problems need to be identified.This paper adopts the method of literature comparison,aiming at the difficulties and doubts in document description,combines historical documents,phonology and archaeological data,combs the vein of the evolution of Zouxian place names,analyses the errors in the words of county names in ancient books,and identifies the errors in order to correct them.It is generally concluded that the original name of the county was"Zou(驺)"after the unification of Qin Dynasty,and it changed its name to"Zou(邹)"during the Western Jin Dynasty,which has been used until modern times.The reason for mistaking"Zou(驺)"as"Zou(邹)"in ancient books is that the differences between ancient and modern characters have not been distinguished.This paper will help to deepen the understanding of the history and culture of Zouxian county and arouse the thinking of the research on the evolution of place names through the examination of the evolution of place names and the errors of the words used in the names of Zouxian.
