译者惯习结构化问题探讨--以林语堂翻译《浮生六记》为例

A Study on Constructing Function of Translator′s Habitus--Taking Lin Yutang′s Translation Six Chapters of A Floating Life as an Example

“译者惯习”理论体现了翻译研究的社会学转向,为翻译研究提供了广阔的社会学视野,其主要探讨特定社会语境如何塑造译者知识与个性以及形成的知识总和如何影响翻译活动。目前,“译者惯习”研究发展迅速,但相关研究在其结构化影响的对象和方式上仍没有达成共识,也缺乏实证对比研究。通过分析林语堂所译的《浮生六记》可以发现,译者惯习的结构化功能存在于原文本选择、翻译策略、译文的语言风格三个方面,并对翻译活动产生重大影响。

The theory of"Translator′s Habitus"is the product of"sociological turn"in the field of translation studies.It offers a broad sociological view and focuses on how the translator′s knowledge and personality are formed under particular social circumstance and how the total knowledge shapes translation activities.Although studies on Translator′s Habitus accumulates quickly,no agreement has been reached on the scope and path of its constructing side so far.Nor is there adequate exemplification to support it.However,the analysis of Lin Yutang′s translation work Six Chapters of A Floating Life reveals that the"constructing"function does work in text selection,translational strategy and the making of language style of the translated text,and it exerts great impact on the whole translation process.
