王国维与王乃誉往来书信辑佚(1898年)

A Compilation of Scattered Letters between Wang Guowei and Wang Naiyu

目前学界收录王国维往来书信的著作已有多种,但仍有遗珠之憾。《王乃誉日记》的影印出版为搜集、整理王国维往来书信提供了重要线索。从戊戌年(1898)正月二十四至五月三十日,即从王国维离开海宁往上海就馆于《时务报》始,到王国维因腿疾自沪返里止,这六个月(中有闰三月)当中王氏父子书信往还频繁,《王乃誉日记》对其中若干通进行撮述或抄录。这些书信可为了解王国维早年行实、促进王国维学术研究提供新的材料。

There have been quite a few collections of Wang Guowei's correspondence in the academic field,but the collecting and compiling job is still not finished.The publication of the photocopying version of Wang Naiyu's Diary provides important clues for collecting and collating Wang Guowei's letters.From the 24^(th) day of the first lunar month to the 30^(th) day of the fifth lunar month in 1898,that is,from the time when Wang Guowei left Haining for Shanghai to work in the Chinese Progress to the time when he returned to his hometown six months(including a leap month)later because of his arthritis in legs,Wang Guowei corresponded frequently with his father.Many letters were recorded partially or in whole in Wang Naiyu's Diary.These letters are the new reference for the study of Wang Guowei's early life and are very important for the academic research of Wang Guowei.
