劳森诗歌的澳大利亚书写:“丛林人”与民族精神

Australian Writing of Lawson's Poetry:"Bushman"and National Spirit

19世纪现实主义作家和诗人亨利·劳森是澳大利亚民族文学的创始人,其对澳大利亚文学发展乃至社会文化都产生了深远的影响。然而,国内外学界对劳森的研究主要集中在他的短篇小说,而对其诗歌的关注甚少。笔者发现,劳森在多年的创作生涯中,以诗歌的形式描绘了澳大利亚的丛林生活以及民族主义浪潮,反映了当时的澳大利亚的社会现实,塑造了体现澳大利亚传统性和独特性的“丛林人”形象,展现了以丛林精神和“伙伴情谊”为代表的民族精神,从而建构出具有“澳大利亚性”的丛林文学表征。

Henry Lawson,a realistic writer and poet in the 19th century,is the founder of Australian nationalist literature,which has had a far-reaching impact on the development of Australian literature and even social culture.However,the academic circles at home and abroad mainly focus on Lawson's short stories and pay little attention to his poetry.Through research,this paper find that Lawson has described the bush life and the wave of nationalism in Australia in the form of poetry,reflected the social reality of Australia in his era,shaped the image of"bushman"reflecting Australia's tradition and uniqueness,and displayed the national spirit represented by bush spirit and'mate ship',so as to construct the"Australian-ness"representation of bush literature.
