The Application of Color in Glass Art--Illustrated by the Example of the Glass Artworks of Dale Chihuly

玻璃艺术离不开色彩,色彩是玻璃材料属性的表达与呈现。玻璃艺术领域先锋派艺术代表戴尔·奇胡利(Dale Chihuly),对色彩的使用有独特的个人风格。在美国上世纪玻璃工作室运动的背景下,凭借其夸张的造型和大胆鲜明的用色方式独树一帜。打破了玻璃曾固有的传统工艺方向。文章以奇胡利的玻璃艺术品为例,从光影、空间,情绪几个方面分析色彩在玻璃艺术的运用。

Glass art is inseparable from color,color is the expression and presentation of glass material properties.Dale Chihuly,a representative of the avant-garde in glass art,has a unique personal style in the use of color.In the context of the glass studio movement in the United States in the last century,it stands out for its exaggerated shapes and bold and vivid color use.The traditional technology direction of glass has been broken.Taking Chihuly's glass art as an example,this paper analyzes the application of color in glass art from aspects of light,space and emotion.
