Common Prosperity and the Three⁃wheel⁃driven China’s Modernization

习近平总书记指出“共同富裕是社会主义的本质要求”,并要求“在高质量发展中促进共同富裕”。要深刻理解共同富裕内涵,实现共同富裕目标,就必须深刻理解共同富裕与城乡差距、区域差距、农业农村现代化、乡村振兴战略之间的辩证关系,尤其是要将共同富裕放在整个中国式现代化的背景下理解。未来15年将是中国式现代化建设的关键时期。在这个时期,中国式现代化将由中国制造、科技进步和中国式小农户经济三轮驱动。当科技进步取得决定性进展时,建设强富美的中国乡村,加速实现共同富裕,就正当其时。

The central government points out that common prosperity is the essential requirement of socialism,which requires the promotion of common prosperity in high⁃quality development.In order to deeply understand the connotation of common prosperity and realize the goal of it,we must deeply understand the dialectical relationship between common prosperity and urban⁃rural gap,regional gap,agricultural and rural modernization and rural revitalization strategy,especially in the context of China􀆳s modernization of common prosperity.The next 15 years will be a critical period for China􀆳s modernization drive,which will be driven by three wheels:Chinese manufacturing,technological progress and a Chinese⁃style economy of small farmers.When decisive progress has been made in scientific and technological development,it is high time to build strong and well⁃off Chinese rural areas and accelerate the realization of common prosperity.
