Elevator shaft space guarantees the safe operation of elevators and the personal safety of elevator operators,and the relevant national standards have made clearer requirements for it.This paper elaborates on the requirements,purposes,inspection and testing and precautions for the safety space of the elevator shaft of traction passenger elevator in the relevant standards,and gives solutions for special problems such as high-speed elevators and insufficient shaft space.
