钮树玉《段氏〈说文注〉订》“订段改篆”考论

The Study of Ding Duan Gai Zhuan(订段改篆)from Niu Shuyu(钮树玉)’s Duan Shi Shuo Wen Zhu Ding(段氏说文注订)

“订段改篆”是钮树玉《段氏〈说文注〉订》的主要订正内容之一,对段玉裁《说文解字注》有不可忽视的补充作用。因甲骨文、金文等古文字资料于近代才被挖掘出土,清代钮树玉、段玉裁等诸小学家均未识读甲骨文、金文等古文字,故其对《说文解字》的训释亦有不妥及疑惑之处。论文对钮树玉所订内容的“订段改篆”问题作考论,考察钮树玉所订段玉裁改篆的种种现象,最终归纳出段氏改篆的六种情形:因声符而改篆、因字形之讹而改篆、因字之异体而改篆、因字之正俗而改篆、因字形省略而改篆、因文献之误或无文献依据而臆断改篆。钮树玉的“订段改篆”亦存在因考证资料不足而出现的订正之误,因此值得深入研究。

Ding Duan Gai Zhuan(订段改篆)is one of the main content of Niu Shuyu’s Duan Shi Shuo Wen Zhu Ding(段氏说文注订),and it is important to supplement Duan Yucai(段玉裁)’s Shuo Wen Jie Zi Zhu(说文解字注).Owing to neither Niu Shuyu(钮树玉)nor Duan Yucai(段玉裁)have seen ancient Chinese characters,for example Jiaguwen(甲骨文)and Jinwen(金文),so there interpretation on Shuo Wen Jie Zi(说文解字)existed inadequacies and doubts.Based on this phenomenon,this paper makes a textual research on Ding Duan Gai Zhuan(订段改篆)of Niu Shuyu(钮树玉)’s Duan Shi Shuo Wen Zhu Ding(段氏说文注订),investigates various phenomena of Ding Duan Gai Zhuan(订段改篆),and finally summarizes six situations.For example,The seal script was changed because of the sound symbol,different glyphs,variant character,Folk Characters and Standard Chinese Characters,and omission of glyph.The seal script was changed at will because of errors or lack in literature.Niu Shuyu(钮树玉)’s Ding Duan Gai Zhuan(订段改篆)also exists correction errors due to insufficient textual research data,therefore there is much room for exploring.
