The Scientific Connotation of Historical Initiative Spirit

历史主动精神是唯物史观的内在要求,是中国共产党精神品质的重要方面,也是党领导人民不断战胜艰难险阻、赢得伟大胜利的重要法宝与精神密钥。历史主动精神主要包含五方面的具体内涵:一是尊重历史规律的科学精神,二是尊重人民的主体精神,三是清醒自觉的主动精神,四是未雨绸缪的预见精神,五是勇毅前行的担当精神。走好新的赶考之路,必须继续弘扬历史主动精神,用马克思主义中国化最新成果武装头脑、统一思想,凝聚力量、推动实践;要系统把握和自觉运用唯物史观,在创造性运用历史智慧中提升历史自觉、把握历史主动;要坚持人民至上,持续激发调动人民群众参与波澜壮阔的社会主义现代化建设实践的主体能动作用。

Historical initiative spirit is the internal requirement of historical materialism,an important aspect of the spiritual quality of the CPC,and also an important magic weapon and spiritual key for the CPC leading the people to overcome difficulties and obstacles and win great victories. The historical initiative spirit mainly contains five specific connotations: the first is the scientific spirit of respecting the laws of history;the second is the subject spirit of respecting the people;the third is the rational and conscious initiative spirit;the fourth is the spirit of foresight;the fifth is the responsibility spirit of moving forward bravely.To take the new road smoothly of “examination of governance”,we must continue to carry forward the spirit of historical initiative,to arm our minds and unify our thinking with the latest achievements in the sinicization of Marxism,to gather our strength and promote practice;we should systematically grasp and consciously use historical materialism,enhance historical consciousness and grasp historical initiative in the creative use of historical wisdom;and we also should uphold the supreme position of the people and continue to inspire and mobilize the people’s historical initiative to participate in the magnificent practice of socialist modernization construction.
