As the main force of the construction of ecological rule of law,the government performs its ecological functions in the whole process of the construction of ecological rule of law.In the context of the modernization of national governance,the strengthening and improvement of the government’s ecological functions can alleviate the pressure of economic growth on the ecological environment and provide strong support for the government’s ecological management practice.In the new era,based on the construction of ecological rule of law and the practical needs of the government to perform its ecological functions,the paper makes such suggestions as further improving policies and regulations,strictly implementing ecological law enforcement,promoting law popularization education and building a new form of government supervision.
