Essence of LI Yan-lin’s experience on treating calciphylaxis

钙化防御是一种以皮下脂肪组织层、真皮层小血管钙化、堵塞为特点的罕见性血管性疾病,主要见于慢性肾脏病肾脏替代患者,病变严重者可危及生命。广东省名中医李燕林教授在临床实践中总结出钙化防御的中医病机,认为该病兼具外科和内伤杂病的特点,临证除“消、托、补”等外科常用治则外,还应注意五脏气血阴阳失衡、不足的情况,并提出“保胃气法”,将此法应用于钙化防御的各个阶段并加以分期施治,内外治并重,取得了较好的疗效,充分发挥了中医药治疗钙化防御在稳定病情、防止病情进一步恶化的优势。

Calciphylaxis is a rare vascular disease characterized by calcification and blockage of small vessels in the subcutaneous adipose tissue layer and dermis.It is mainly seen in renal replacement patients with chronic kidney disease,and the disease can be life-threatening in severe cases.Professor LI Yan-lin,a famous traditional Chinese medicine doctor in Guangdong Province,summed up the pathogenesis of calciphylaxisin clinical practice,thinking that the disease has both the characteristics of surgery and internal injury miscellaneous diseases,in addition to‘elimination,support,supplement’and other common surgical treatment,should also pay attention to the imbalance of qi,blood,yin and yang of the five internal organs,and put forward the‘mantenance of stomach qi’,this method is applied to each stage of calciphylaxis.Both internal and external treatment and prevention of calciphylaxis have achieved good curative effect,giving full play to the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of calciphylaxis in stabilizing the condition and preventing further deterioration of the condition.
