中国武术兵器概念的隐喻翻译过程认知识解

Cognitive construal of Chinese Wushu weapon concepts in its metaphor translation process

中国武术兵器概念所蕴含的丰富隐喻彰显着中国武术文化的深厚底蕴。本文从认知视角识解中国武术兵器概念的隐喻翻译过程,以中国武术兵器中的刀、枪、剑、戈四类典型兵器为例,从具身认知、句法象似、意象图式、体验哲学四个维度识解兵器概念的隐喻言语特征与翻译过程,以期为中国武术兵器概念的隐喻外译实践及中国武术外译话语新概念与新范畴的体系构建提供参考和借鉴。

The concept of Chinese Wushu(martial arts)weapon embodies the profound essence of Chinese Wushu culture in terms of its rich metaphors for weapons.This paper intends to construe the metaphors involved in the translation process of weapon culture from the view of cognitive translation with the outstanding examples of such Wushu weapons as"swords","spears","broadswords"and"dagger-axes".With a view to providing useful reference for the C-E translation of Chinese Wushu culture as well as constructing new concepts and new categories of its discourse,the paper makes an analysis of the verbal characteristics and translation methods of metaphors characteristic of Chinese weapon culture from the aspects of the embodied cognition,the syntactic iconicity,the image schemas and the embodied philosophy.
