本文主要从成语的意义与功能方面探讨汉语成语的英译.为了最终能达到功能对等,我们的研究重点应以内容为重.由于汉语成语大都具有文化特殊性,在翻译过程中,我们应具体情况具体分析.本文例句均选自<红楼梦>,形象生动,论据充分.
This thesis aims to probe into several problems concerning the translation of Chinese idioms into English, such as the two important aspects of Chinese idioms, the final target to be achieved and the different approaches in our actual operation. In order to make this thesis a vivid and convincing one, we quote a lot of examples from Honglou Meng.
