Wang Dong-mei′s Experience of Treating Flooding and Spotting

王东梅教授认为崩漏的主要病机是脾肾亏虚兼有胞宫瘀热,治疗应运用塞流、澄源、复旧三法,辨证论治,分期用药。崩中失血过多者,应首以塞流、澄源、止血为重,急则治其标,方用仙草举元煎加减;经前期出血侧重温肾止血,方用温肾止血方加减以温肾固冲止血;经后期出血侧重滋阴凉血,方用丹栀二至方以养阴清热凉血;血止后补脾益肾,调经治本,方用调经毓麟汤加减调经治本,巩固疗效,防止崩漏反复。

Professor Wang Dong-mei believes that the main pathogenesis of flooding and spotting is spleen-kidney deficiency com-bined with stagnant heat in the uterus.The three methods of insertion,source clarification and reduction,syndrome differentiation and treatment,and drugs by stages should be used for treatment.For those who lose too much blood,the first thing to do is to in-sert,clarity source and stop bleeding.In case of urgency,manifestations should be treated first,so Modified Xiancao Juyuan Decoc-tion can be used.For the treatment of premenstrual bleeding,the emphasis should be placed on warming the kidney to stop bleed-ing,so Kidney-Warming and Bleeding-Stopping Decoction can be used to warm the kidney and strengthen thoroughfare vessel to stop bleeding.The treatment of late menstrual bleeding should focus on nourishing yin and cooling blood,so Fructus Gardeniae and Fructus Gardeniae Double Supreme Decoction can be used.After bleeding stops,the focus should be on replenishing the spleen and kidney,regulating menstruation and treating the root cause,so Modified Menstruation-Regulating Yulin Decoction can be used to consolidate the curative effect and prevent recurrence of flooding and spotting.
