Educational gossip is an educational work created by British philosopher and educator John Locke.It mainly expounds the contents and methods of gentleman education from the aspects of sports,moral education and intellectual education,and intensively displays John Locke's educational ideas.It is a must read book for educators and parents,and has important enlightening significance for current family education.This paper starts with the educational thought conveyed by Locke in educational gossip,analyzes Locke's discussion on educational principles and methods in educational gossip,points out the problems existing in current family education,and expounds the enlightenment of Locke's educational gossip on family education.
