徐定超教育观探析

An Analysis of Xu Dingchao’s Educational View

维新运动后,随着向西方学习的深入,徐定超的教育观念虽仍未脱离“中体西用”的范畴,但有所深化。教育观方面,他尤其重视医学教育与蒙学堂教育;医学教育方面,他主张对中西医分而教之,以便精专;蒙学堂教育方面,他主张以中学为内容,为学生奠定根基。徐定超还提倡开设华侨学堂,传承中华文化。这些教育观念对今日之教育仍有重要的借鉴意义。

After the Movement of Reform,Xu Dingchao’s educational view has been deepened with the deepening of learning from the West,even though it has not departed from the category of “Westernized Chinese Style”.In terms of educational view,Xu Dingchao attached special importance to medical education and enlightment education;regarding medical education,he advocated that Chinese and Western medicine should be taught separately so as to facilitate the specialization;as for enlightment education,he proposed laying the foundation for students with traditional Chinese learning.Moreover,he even advocated the establishment of overseas Chinese schools to inherit Chinese culture.These educational views still have reference significance for current education.
