The Rainbow written by D.H. Lawrence is not only a story of the love and marriage of the Brangwens, but a vivid description of ecology. This article elaborates the ecological consciousness in The Rainbow from three dimensions, which are natural ecology, social ecology and spiritual ecology. Different forms of ecological integrity have been destroyed in the novel, which demonstrates an ecological tragedy in the historical process of capitalist industrial civilization.
