摘要 The ability to feel pain isessential for sensing the everchanging environment for potential danger,and thus,is important for the survival of an organism.Howevero in 10 adults experiences chronic pain,which is one of the major causes of human suffering and is often associated with emotional distress such as depression,anxiety,and reduced motivation[1].These negative affective componentsofpain not only augment the perceptionof pain,but also,reduce the success rate of pain treatment in the clinic.So,how does chronic pain lead to these psychological effects?
